Homemade Hair Masks for Healthy Hair

A groovy hair does wonders for you and your self-pride. Taking care of your hair is in fact the same as taking care of skin.

If your bad hair days last an entire weekend, your hair is not only screaming for attention but is also in dire need of some tender loving care. Don’t wait for the weekend to treat damaged hair. There are simple, effective ways (which are not time-consuming) to care for your hair through the week.
If your hair are dry, damage and has lost its shine, you can revitalize it with a homemade hair mask. These masks use healthy ingredients from your kitchen to hydrate and rejuvenate your hair. They are also quite inexpensive and no, you don’t have to go hunting for some exotic ingredients either. The solution to your bad hair day lies in your kitchen.
The biggest advantage is that your mask won’t have any chemicals so it will really help your hair.

Yogurt hair mask
For dry, frizzed out hair, this recipe will bring back the moisture, leaving your hair silky and manageable. Beat 1 egg white until frothy. Mix with 1/4th cup of yogurt and mayonnaise. Massage into wet hair and cover with plastic shower cap or plastic wrap. Leave in for 30 minutes, then wash out with a mild shampoo.

Olive Oil Hair Mask or Pack
Mix 5 tablespoon of olive oil with 2 eggs. Apply thoroughly to hair. Wrap head with plastic wrap or a shower cap. After 15 minutes rinse well.

Hair Loss
Hair loss can be due to various reasons. However, a combination of vegetable oils and essential oils does help strengthen your hair. A liquid mix of 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and 10 to 15 drops of ylang – ylang is beneficial for the hair before it is washed.

Fenugreek mask
You need to keep fenugreek seeds overnight in a little water, enough to soak them not drown them. Grind the seeds to a fine paste the next morning and apply it to your hair. Wash it out with a mild shampoo after 15 to 20 minutes.

Honey shine rinse
Mix 1 teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water. Make sure it’s well dissolved. Use as a rinse after shampooing and don’t wash out. Dry as normal for a great shine.
