Find a flat surface:
Melty Beads are a great activity to do alone or with a friend! They’re fun for a relaxing summer afternoon or a stormy evening. To work with Melty Beads, first find yourself a clean, flat surface to work. Lay down your pegboard and have your beads within easy reach.

To separate, or not to separate?
Working with Melty Beads can be a lot of fun, but sometimes finding the perfect color beads can be a chore! If you find this a challenge, you might want to start by separating out your beads by color prior to working on projects. You can keep these beads separated into different bowls, tubs or even a reusable storage case, such as this plastic craft kit.

Creating your design:
Start creating your design by placing beads one at a time onto the pegboard. Remember that you don’t have to fill up the whole pegboard in your design. Just make sure each bead is touching at least one other bead. Tip: you might find it helpful to also use a tweezer when creating your project.

Ironing:
While you are crafting, ask an adult to preheat an iron to a medium setting, once you have finished your design, place the wax ironing sheet provided in your Melty Beads Kit over your design. Have an adult use the iron to melt the beads. Make sure to keep the iron level and apply even pressure to the entire piece. Gently iron the beads in a circular motion for 10-20 seconds or until you can see the beads melt completely together. Let your Melty Bead design cool off before removing the wax paper and before removing your design from the peg board.

Peeling ironing paper:
Once your design is completely cool, peel away the ironing paper and remove your design.
