Pentagon Craft Stick Bowl

Stack Craft sticks to create a unique 5-sided pentagon bowl. Add Simply Spray® Project Paint to give your bowl a beautiful finish. Use the bowl to hold art supplies or even wrapped candies!

Materials

Simply Spray® Project Paint Purple

Wood Craft Sticks 150 Pack

Heavy Duty Scissors **May require adult assistance

Pencil

Craft Glue

Card Stock

Wax Paper

Paper Towels

Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.
	Step 2. Download, and print the template onto card stock. Cut out the template.
	Step 3. Place a Craft Stick on one edge of your template. Using a pencil mark the Craft Stick where it sticks over the template.
	Step 4. Using heavy Duty scissors, have an adult cut the Craft Stick where you marked it with a pencil.
	Step 5. Glue the cut craft stick onto your template.
	Step 6. Repeat steps 3-5 so that your template is completely covered with the Craft Sticks, as shown. This will be the base of your bowl.
	Step 7. Glue a Craft Stick onto one edge of the base. The stick should be centered on the edge of the base.
	Step 8. Continue Gluing Craft Sticks around the base, centering the Sticks on each edge. The sticks will overlap each other. This will make the first layer of the bowl.
	Step 9. Once you have completed the first layer of the bowl, start adding a second layer. For the second layer you want to glue the Craft Sticks slightly out from the Craft Sticks on the first layer, as shown.
	Step 10. Continue gluing the Craft Sticks down in overlapping layers, with the Craft Sticks on each layer being glued further out than the ones on previous layers. You should start to see the shape of a bowl.
	Step 11. The bowl will be finished when the ends of all the craft sticks meet, after approximately 9 layers of Craft Sticks.
	Step 12. Place your bowl on a piece of wax paper. Using purple Simply Spray Project Paint, spray one even coat of paint on the bowl. Begin and end spraying off the project to prevent splatter. Let the paint dry approximately 30 minutes and repeat with one more coat of spray, if needed.
	Step 13. Your bowl is finish! Use to store all sorts of things, such as art supplies or wrapped candies.
