Teenage Makeup Tips

Teenage Makeup Tips

Make up plays an important part during the teen years. However, teenage make up needs to be soft and natural and not have that overt, made up look. You should understand that make up should be used for enhancing your features and turning you into a dazzling beauty. Nowadays, there are a lot of make up brands that have a wide array of cosmetics that are soft and subtle on the skin. Avon, e.l.f. and Mary Kay are some of the leading cosmetic brands that are a favorite with the teens.

Makeover Secrets for Teens

A blemish free, glowing skin that is clear of acne and pimples is the first requirement for a great make over. Here are a few tips for maintaining a clean, healthy skin.
  • Drink at least 5 to 6 glasses of water every day.
  • Try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of beauty sleep each night.
  • Fruits, vegetables, dairy products and lean meat should form a staple part of your diet.
  • Avoid soft drinks, chocolates and junk food, if you want to get rid of ‘zits’.
  • Remember to cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin. Follow it up with a weekly facial scrub.
  • Apply astringent if you have an oily skin and opt for a skin toner if you have dry skin.

Teen Make Up Tips

  • Young girls can do without foundation. However, choose the right foundation tone if you wish to apply it for special occasions.
  • The foundation should be blended into your skin. Remove smudges with a sponge or blending brush.
  • Apply a compact or loose powder over the foundation to retain it for a longer time.
  • Use a concealer to cover up any scars or blemishes on your skin.
  • Shape your eyebrows with an eye brush or a toothbrush.
  • Apply a soft, shimmering eyeshadow to your eyelids. Apply a darker color to your brow bone and blend the two together. Rose, peach, gold and bronze are some of the funkiest shades.
  • Use a peach or pink blush on if you have a fair skin tone. Bronzers are more suitable for a darker skin tone.
  • Draw a close line bordering your eyelids with an eyeliner.
  • Apply mascara to your eyelashes if you want to make them appear thicker and fuller.
  • Define your lips with a lip liner and apply a touch of lip gloss. Some of the favorite teen lip colors are pink, berry, coral, beige, peach and bronze.
Following the above mentioned teenage make up tips will help you to turn yourself into a glamor doll who impresses everyone with her unique style.
