Eyes Make Up Tips

Eyes Make Up Tips

Your eyes are what people usually first notice about your appearance. It is important then that we look after our eyes and enhance their luster and eye make up does just that. Here are some precautions while applying the eye makeup:

  • Avoid using eye makeup while in a moving vehicle.
  • Always use eyeliner outside the lash line to avoid direct contact of the cosmetic with the eye.
  • If you use an eyelash curler, make sure the rubber is soft, not stiff and cracking. Always use the curler before applying mascara.
  • Avoid using an old applicator in a fresh cosmetic product. The applicator will transfer bacteria to the new cosmetic.
  • Keep eyeliner pencils sharpened so that the rough wood casing won’t scratch the eye or eyelid.
  • When the pencil becomes old, the liner tip becomes stiff, requiring more pressure to apply. When this happens, replace the pencil with a new one.
  • Change cosmetics every six months to avoid excess contamination with skin bacteria.
  • After any eye infection, such as conjunctivitis, buy fresh eye makeup.
  • Apply eye makeup removers carefully to the eyelid and avoid getting them in your eye as it may cause irritation.
  • Avoid using saliva to thin old, clumped makeup.
  • Avoid using a safety pin or other sharp instrument to tease apart clumped eyelashes.
  • Persons allergic to nickel should not use an eyelash curler, as the metal frame contains pickle
  • Avoid sharing your eye cosmetics with others. Each person has different skin bacteria.
